projects across the city—built, envisioned,
or planned. This transparent, organized,
and accessible index of community design
possibilities showcases resources for
communities to advance their design and
planning initiatives by mapping ideas,
projects, people, plans, and organizations.

News, Block Club Chicago, and the Chicago
Sun Times.
MAPPED-a-thons enable DTC to partner with
organizations to explore topics on spatial justice
and equity in the built environment; use design
transparency as a change agent; and employ
innovative approaches to community storytelling
and communicating design. DTC has cultivated
a community of 70 MAPPED
